For those interested, I was surprised to see Vinnie's name in the liner notes for Eros Ramazzotti's latest album "9," released today.

I'm on the 4th track now, and the efforts are similar to Faith Hill's CD...

Just thought I'd share...

Not very many Vinnie-isms on this one, in fact, I can safely say none at all... but it grooves...

I was listening to the radio on the way work(yes its a 100 mile drive so I cant really afford to listen to anything that will take my attention away from the road so I always put the radio on)

and there was this J-LO song with sum nice piano playing(and trills)and the groove in the intro kinda stucked with me as did the "cymbal setup" the drummer was playing(loved the crash sound-Ziljians likely)......when I checked the credits for the CD(on MTV's site)it reads Omar Hakim on da skins! [img]cool.gif[/img]

Numero, what are the best discs containing these Vinnieisms in your opinion? I'm in a buying mood.

For some reason or another Karizma's Document comes to mind, but dass cuz I ain't got the Cave Men CD yet.

I got Cave Men the second I heard about it. It rocks harder than the Bunny Brunel CD which is real laid back. Other great Vinnie (besides Document) is Live at the BP, the Jing Chi CDs, Big Drum, Chick Corea's Akoustic Band live in Tokyo and the Japanese import of VC's solo outing with the bonus track; a totally whack rave-up with Stube and Landau. Thanks To Frank and Shut Up & Play Your Guitar is the top of the mountain IMHO.

Can you think of anything else that's really smokin'?
